in awe.
i just went to emma's extension studies launch thing, and i am completely in awe. it was just amazing. all the effort she went to is just incomprehensible. i am actually speechless. so well done emma =]

in other news, i'm going to the doctor about my irregular heart beat tomorrow. hmm. anyway, must get back to the books as they say :P
saturday (as can be seen below) was jess' 19th which was GOOD, then sunday arvo was my gran's 80th, which was... a BLAST :P "oh mabel i havent seen you for ages, the carpet's gorgeous isn't it? just suits the curtains perfectly!" but luckily andre came along and so did my cousin, (and simon was there too) so it wasnt THAT bad.
x.

the walk of shame
the day started off tamely enough, making the whole family run late because of getting up late, then getting to the city 40 minutes before i needed to. this resulted in a cappucino [i have NO idea how to spell that word, but i just put it into word and it says its right...] with mum at the markets. then i went to the last day of the geography revision course, a sad occasion for all. except possibly the teacher, who was probably glad to get rid of us :P i liked the teacher though, he was funny. after getting the results of our half essays that we wrote in 20 mins yesterday [i got 4-5/20 and ness got 2/20... HAHAHA], and doing other last minute type things for three hours, ness and i walked from st mary's to the rundle mall, to get lunch before our 2:30 blood-donating appointment.
on the way, ness ensured that i would pretend that i only had hayfever, because if i couldnt donate, then she would kill me. haha.
upon arrival at the red cross [after seeing a police car with its sirens on going rather close to that very same place] [it was next door :P], we were informed that there would be up to a 45 minute wait, because they were behind schedule. "so if you want to reschedule, thats quite understandable". however, as ness and i have absolutely no desire to donate while school is going [partly becasue of her "family problems" which have made her "late for school 27 times this year"... we wouldnt want the teachers thinking she's doing drugs to escape it all... though that would be rather amusing...], despite the bad feeling we both had about it, we decided to stay.
anyway, we only had a short wait which was good, during which we saw a girl faint. poor thing. ness got called first [because her name is first in the alphabet] then a few minutes later i got called. everything was normal, they only asked me my date of birth once when she had to take my blood pressure and pulse. the following conversation ensued;
nurse: did you... run here or something...?
sez: err, no?
N: well you have an abnormally high pulse rate... let me just check
so she put her fingers on my wrist and did it that way;
N: has anyone ever told you you have an irregular heart beat?
S: err... no? :S
N: hmm, let me go and get someone else...
so someone else came and took my pulse too.
N2: yeah, i can feel it...
N1: yeah... okay, well your heart rate is just a little high for you to donate today, i'm going to give you this letter to give to your doctor, for him to check it out... its nothing to worry about, you might have to have a *complicated thing i dont remember* but the best part about it is... it doesnt hurt!
S: umm.. ok...
after this, i did the later-dubbed 'walk of shame' back to the seats, with the looks of everyone else. i messaged mum, who called me, and i nearly burst into tears. but i didnt. a few minutes later, i saw ness also doing the walk of shame.
"i cant donate!"
"me either!"
"argh!"
and, would you believe it, we had the same pulse rate. but she had low haemoglobin levels, and got stabbed several times, i didn't even get that far :P
i got home, and went and got petrol all by myself! yay!
then homework, dinner, homework, msn, flux's "oh NOES! I've run out of white out tape!!!", and further homework.
41 days.

ps, that was a crappy post, rather poorly written, but i kept getting distracted and forgetting what i'd said... oops.

Blumen
okay, this is the video for one of my favourite die Ärzte songs, Blumen. even though you may not understand german at all, the video kinda gives an idea of whats going on. actually i've no idea if it does, i know what the song's about :P
Ich ess' Blumen, denn Tiere tun mir Leid.
Lieber Akazien statt 'nen dicken, fetten Schinken.
Ich ess' Blumen, Fleisch bringt mir Übelkeit
Und die Fäkalien tun dann auch nicht mehr so stinken.
Pretty much, its just going on about eating flowers instead of meat, because who knows how thankful a chicken could be?! (for not eating it :P)
ah dear. what crazy men.

our amoeba
when we got to this scene in the lion king tonight, andre and i decided that this is what the flat is going to be like. andre = pumbaa... i dont remember why... because he farts? i = simba, because i'm young and innocent :P and CJ = timon, because she's in control and short :P hahaha. and the grass... represents beanbags? or SQUID. yes it represents squid.anyway, so, holidays = good-ish. i have a lot of work, which is crap, since its the HOLIDAYS, but oh well. today i went photography-ing with andre for my photography... umm yesterday i had a meeting with de kroon about my geog IFS, THAT was fun :P haha i was there for about 50 mins. today i also dyed my hair. tis all pretty again now. umm, haven't really done that much else these hols, just some homework and stuff, have my german oral [*snigger*] exam tomorrow that i missed during exam week, then on saturday we have a run through or POSSIBLY the final thing of our oral [*snigger*] for our IDS'. next week i have a geog revision course in the mornings, which should be GREAT... not. oh well, the last one was handy dandy, so i suppose it will be good.
so yes, that is a quick update on sez's life, which is nice, since that is the title of my blog....
ooh, music dinner invitation, mustnt lose that. it shall go on my mirror with all my other invitations becuase i'm like omg sooooo popular. i do have a lot of invites on there though. and most of them are all professional [aka; by emma] and YES. hmm, annabel's 21st saturday.
okay, going now :P

technical terms
friday, for me, represented a day of great joy. not, as you may think, because i now have two weeks of holidays - i mean - studying, but instead because this joyous occasion represented, for me, my two year bloggiversary. yes, hard as it is to believe, we have been at this for two years. and i know that my blog archives don't go back to september two years ago, that is because i had to delete my blog last march-ish because it wouldn't behave.
however, also on that joyous friday was the last day of school for the term, so that's nice i guess.
yesterday i went to anna's for le grand final [EAGLES WON! WOOOO!!!] [i was born in perth :P] [plus hayley was going for the swans] [haha, sucker :P] and it was FUN. there was lots of... mmm lets just not go into it. haha. orange. alfoil. beer. fire. ah dear :P
and today is sunday. just before, CJ, alice and i were discussing, in very technical terms, different types of music [it started off talking about AFI's new 'boppiness'] [mainstreamness], then we were talking about doof doof music and BWOOAARRRR music. as you can see, very technical terms.
hahaha. i'm going to move my fingers over towards the centre of the keyboard... try to work out what i say...
yhud grrkd di erutfz3 grgr, ig erkk uyd gybbtz3 yhsy;kk fi,
hehe. how strange :P
anyway. yes. i'm off now.
love you all.
x.
ps. FORTY DAYS FIVE HOURS FIVE MINUTES!
